FEKKAI launched its first-ever professional ambassador program: THE FEKKAI FIVE Collective. This collective brings together five of the most influential hairstylists to celebrate the brand's 35 years of heritage, innovation, and dedication to salon excellence in hairstyling: Jenny Cho, Marissa Marino, Lona Vigi, Graham Nation, and Marty Harper.
The collective, handpicked by Frédéric himself, features five renowned hairstylists, each known for their unique styles and artistic backgrounds. Each represents an individual mastery, from celebrity red-carpet and backstage fashion to cutting and editorial expertise, to trend forecasting and esteemed creativity; they collectively highlight the unique craftsmanship and diversity within the world of hairstyling, and Frédéric’s decades-long commitment to collaboration.
Fekkai Five Collective - Marty Harper

His story:

I started my career in beauty as a makeup artist, but realized quickly that hair was more my calling. It is a 3 dimensional world.. a fabric to be tailored to the artists hands, the departure from 2D to a 360 if you will, a world with so much expression and architecture.

My signature style:

My signature styles marry textures, shine and structure. At times undone with the most intent, always refined with notions of modernity. Always reflecting on shape and balance as it’s truly sculpture.

Why FEKKAI?

Fekkai always has spoke to the ethos of my hand and heart. Frederic built a brand that took the traditionality and “Je ne sais quai” of French hair  and infused it with New York’s cross-pollinated conversation in the arts, culture and fashion to embody this unparalleled finish. I’ve always looked to his hand and person as an inspiration… And am quite pleased to partner with him and the brand to push the dialogue further and encourage more visual expressions of hair using FEKKAI.

Fekkai Five Collective - Marissa Marino

Her story:

I started in the industry at 21 years old, I assisted Ken Paves then worked at Nine Zero One salon for 10 years while simultaneously doing red carpets, press, music videos, and everything in between. This is really where I received invaluable training in everything from coloring and styling wigs to how to thrive under pressure. Then, I went on tour with Selena Gomez twice, which pushed me to take to the leap to be fully freelance six years ago.

Her style:

Cool & sophisticated

Why FEKKAI?

I love that Fekkai was created by someone who knows hair so well. I also love that it focuses on healthy, shiny hair which is always my goal with clients.

Fekkai Five Collective - Graham Nation

His story:

I grew up a musician and was introduced to the creative industry at a young age where I met other hairstylists and fell in love with hairstyling. After going to school in Denver, I quickly moved to Los Angeles with one dream: to do celebrity hair. I wanted to be around the best of the best to learn and grow. And that’s where I’ve been the last 10 years, sharpening my craft and enjoying the west coast lifestyle.

His signature style:

In a world where the word “effortless” is over-used, I like to think of my work as “calculated.” With range of sculpted to everyday effortless, I try to be able to always offer polished looks for my clients.

Why FEKKAI?

Frederic Fekkai is a hair god that I’ve looked up to since hair school. The way he creates shape and movement in hair is iconic. When I started using the products, you could instantly tell a hairstylist made them. It’s truly a brand for us and I fell in love.

Fekkai Five Collective - Jenny Cho

Her story:

My name is Jenny Cho, celebrity hairstylist. I take an organic, versatile approach to hair that highlights my clients' natural beauty. I have a particular eye for detail, and put a big emphasis on texture. I started at the Vidal Sassoon Academy, and eventually became an instructor. My work involves anything from red carpet to magazines to campaigns with my clients from all over the world. My clients include Carey Mulligan, Ana De Armas, GalGadot, Jenna Ortega,
Greta Lee, Emilia Clarke and Kristen Bell.

Her style:

Relaxed minimalist with a hint of curiosity.

Why FEKKAI?

The brand was created by an artist. Fekkai has done an amazing job at knowing what the salon, professionals and real women want.

Fekkai Five Collective - Lona Vigi

Her story:

I came from Detroit to Los Angeles. I was so excited to be in Hollywood that I just started assisting everybody I could. I never said no to any job, and now I have an amazing group of women I work with. I am still so passionate and loving about my job! I love hair! And I love what I do!

Her style:

My style is pretty, sexy, and sometimes undone. I like to work with my clients and create together.

Why FEKKAI?

Throughout my career, Frederic Fekkai has been an icon, trendsetter, and someone that I have looked up to and respected. I feel so lucky to be part of the Collective.
