WHAT INSPIRED FEKKAI'S NEW CHANGE?
FEKKAI has undergone a complete re-stage—with new formulas, new packaging, and a new mission. We want to turn the tide for our oceans, future generations, and the beauty industry as a whole by eliminating virgin plastic and recycling plastic currently in our oceans and landfills back into our products. We’re living by the mantra “Salon Hair Gone Clean”, which represents our evolution into an environmentally-responsible brand with safe, salon-quality formulas that never compromise performance.
With over 30 years salon expertise, our founder Frédéric Fekkai has made his name in the beauty industry as a leader, an innovator, and a disruptor. As a renowned stylist and salon owner, he has always focused on natural beauty, making his clients feel and look their very best.

HOW HAS THE BRAND'S PACKAGING CHANGED?
We’ve made a bold commitment to reduce plastic waste and save the planet—purchasing 16 million grams of post-consumer resin to recycle back into our bottles and tubes. This is how we’re crafting our packaging from 95% recycled plastic that is domestically-sourced—making each bottle and tube 100% recyclable on its own. Even the boxes you receive with a new FEKKAI order are 100% recyclable—including the packing material inside.
ARE THE NEW FORMULAS DIFFERENT?
We’ve always been inspired by nature. And now, we’ve evolved our formulas to be clean, without compromising an ounce of performance—truly living by that “salon hair gone clean” mantra. We are thrilled to announce that our hair care has now been certified by Leaping Bunny. Our products are crafted from natural ingredients and tested on all textures in our salons—never on our animal friends. This Leaping Bunny certification and our commitment mean everything to us.
WHY ARE SILICONES, SULFATES & OTHER "NASTY" INGREDIENTS SUCH A PROBLEM?
When we decided to make our new formulas free of nasties, we made that decision for the safety of our customers and the environment. Hair care is a part of our everyday lives and should be safe to use. Silicones, sulfates, and other harmful ingredients help to dissolve dirt, boost shine, extend a product’s shelf life, and other goals. But they don’t do these actions in a safe way. So we’ve replaced them with our powerful proprietary complex of panthenol (pro-vitamin B5, specialty rice protein, and edelweiss flower extract, and other health-boosting natural ingredients like olive oil, plum seed oil, and more.
CAN I STILL USE MY OLD FEKKAI PRODUCTS?
Of course! We still very much believe in these formulas and they’re still safe for you to use and love. We changed our formulas, packaging, and mission because the earth called for it and we cannot wait to show you what else we have in store for the future.
